Notagaintoo I know you have Muir Torre. I just need some reassurance. My husband has two new lesions. One is at the end of the scar from his wide excision and the other is a few inches away. I've been very matter of fact in public that this is just our new maintenance schedule, but it is scary. It's been six months since diagnosis. Does it always come back so quickly? He hasn't had any on his face, well, he's had basal and squamous on his face.

Megan, I had my first lesion in 1997, then one in 1998. I had another one removed in 2000 that was maybe pre-cancerous. All of these were on my face. I've had biopsies taken on other parts of my body, but all of them were benign. I go to the dermatologist once every six months, though I'm supposed to call immediately if nothing suspicious shows up. How often does he go? I don't know why, but I get the impression that men seem to get more lesions, although my dermatologist has a female patient in her 40's that has had dozens. She gets them on mostly on her scalp. Good luck to you and your husband. Do you trust your dermatologist? That is so important! (I'll respond separately to your question about diet.)

Pathology reports came back great. The spot by his scar was a cyst that had ruptured and the other two were moles. Thanks for the support.
