I noticed that GreenAnnie commented she also has celiac in her family. My son has celiac. Is this a common relationship? When my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer and the possibility of Lynch, my son's comment was "I'm toast". He's working on his doctorate, has 4 kids and no insurance. He had a colonoscopy at 19 and hasn't had one since. He's now 29. Just curious how common this is.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? this link tells you which group is apt to have them. BRCA 1 & 2 are recently listed. Celiac disease is a nuisance, but my middle sister & many of my father's 16 siblings had the celiac disease, and other than the dietary alterations did well. Some had a few of the other genetic issues, and with treatment, did well. In fact, some medical papers note that people with lynch's live longer than other cancer patients. These populations are spread through Manitoba, Sasketchewan, Montana, SD, Mexico, and other places, but because of religious reasons, tend to cluster. Has your son had genetic counseling? The two may well not be related at all. There may be clinical studies that would ot cost anything in your area as well.
