Hi! I peek in here every once in a while though I rarely write. I had my first Lynch cancer (ovarian) 17 years ago and colon cancer 4 years ago. That probably sounds really scary to a lot of people, but I'm now 57 and have a fabulous life. I've pretty much had everything I wanted - a great marriage and successful career. Before my first cancer diagnosis, I was skinny and not very athletic. Afterwards, I started working out and running, and I'm fitter now than I was in my 20's and 30's. My doctor told me that sometimes the people we find on the internet are the ones who are having the hardest time coping physically or emotionally, and I think that's partly true. There are tons of people out there with Lynch living full and happy lives who you may never hear about.

I hope for all of you to keep up your screening and to never get cancer. And I also hope that you won't let the fear of getting cancer define you and keep you from living a fabulous life.

I am a new member . I am from a large family with Lynch. I lost my father and 1 sister to Lynch. I already had 2 cancers related to Lynch (1988 & 2002) . 4 of the 6 girls had the defective genes. It seams tha it had afflicted more women than men in my family. I am doing fine now .
