Lymphedema is a condition of localized fluid retention caused by a compromised lymphatic system. The lymphatic system (often referred to as the body's "second" circulatory system) collects and filters the interstitial fluid of the body. Lymphedema has been barely recognized as being a serious health problem; however, this is slowly changing due to education and awareness.
Hi Everyone. It is not a secret that most of us - lymphedemic patients- are having a hard time to have a date or to make a relationship with the opposite sex.
But i believe that the best chance for any of us Lymphedemic patients to have a good relationship is with someone who actually knows, feels and understands what we are going through , and who is better in that than someone who is actually from the same community the lymphedema community.
So i thought about starting this topic so anyone who is having Lymphedema and is interested in having a relationship with another in our group can post his/her info here and what is he/she intrested in or even can choose someone that posted his/her info and contacting him/her privately.
I believe distance is not a big problem as i know we are from different countries. Traveling is always an option if the relationship is serious enough , and even if it was just an internet relation believe me it can make a difference and it can be very reliving.

My name is Aadel , male , 29 years old and from Egypt.
I work as an intern Dr in Cairo and I have a primary Lymphedema in both my lower limbs since 1996. I consider my Lymphedema mild to moderate but i am keeping it under control so it doesn't affect my life or my activities.
