Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.
Could there be a relationship between Lymes and a topical (skin) staph infection on the legs. Maybe a sign for good things (lymes is leaving) or bad (?) to come.
It is always a good idea to get photos of any reaction. It is important documentation. Before taking photos, place something near the area, like a coin or ruler, to give it size definition.
Are you sure its Staph, if so I hope you have seen a DR. Staph can be very hard to treat and some are very very dangerous. Good luck and keep us posted.
