Spasticity??

To what extent had spasticity disabled any of you? I used to just feel "stiff"...especially my legs. However...NOW, My entire right side is so bad ...that without my Neurontin...I cant sleep, use my arm, "sometimes" can't turn/bend my head...due to the right side of my neck/shoulder, & my right leg causes me problems when walking...& also hurts like the dickens while trying to sleep! ?? I have it in other places too, however, my right side & neck/shoulder area is the worst.

I walk with a walker, before, I was dx'ed with lymes I had a stupid ortho who did three knee surgeries that I didn't need. Due to my immune system being low from the lymes it effected my bodies ability to recover from sugery I healed wrong, and was left with constant knee pain. I have falled twice that was when I got the walker. My feet, shoulders, knuckles hurt every day. My hands and feet shake ramdonly when I try to relax. The only thing that keeps me sane is my pain pills that my pain and rehab doc gives to me.

I get this really bad right now. On the weeks that I am doing my IV antibiotics I can barely walk at all and can't go up or down steps. During my off weeks i am a bit better but still all stiff and can't bend my knees right so I use a cane and sort of walk like C3PO

Sorry y'all are having to use walkers. However, I'm now getting to the point where I'm thinking I'm gonna need one soon...if not for the spasticity...then for my balance issues.

Freedom...that stinks that you had to have those knee surgeries for nothing! I had to have a nasal surgery about 7 years ago...& I have YET to heal from that also! I have tons of sinus issues!

lol...jeez I am only 21. I reference Star Wars and walk with a cane I don't know how that could have led to you think I was older at all lol! XP

Sorry MichES! Didn't mean to offend. Should have checked your profile 1st! Just rarely hear the younger generation talking much about Star Wars. I'm from the "original Star Wars" generation. Sorry! ;)

lol don't feel bad i was actually joking at myself. I was raised on star treck, star wars, and seinfield so I immediately thought C3PO when I walk like a jerky odd ball. lol
