Lyme Disease Support Group
Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.
I get frustrated with the Drs who will not prescribe antibiotics long term for lyme even when your getting better.
However this information seems to go unnoticed by CDC.
Something def wrong with this picture.
Thing is I still need treatment because it is all coming back. Have had this (99.99%) sure since birth, so i know it is gonna be rough getting rid of it . I have seen 3 LLMD each for 3 years plus 1 and 1/2 year at the PA Fibro Clinic. I am so tired of battling, so I am gonna try to go the diet and natural rouite. What do i have to loose???
Also to comment that I was on antibiotics for close to 15 years, including
17 months of IV. No noticeable stomach problems, in fact I achieved about 4 years of something close to a remission during that time. Which has now gone since I moved to a state where no M.D's will treat for Lyme.
