Oral thrush while on antibiotic

Any good ideas on how to prevent oral thrush while on long term antibiotics that are high dosage? Already taking a probiotic? Ideas?

Hi Mistycarmichael,

I was on high dose antibiotics for 3.5 years. My Dr. had me taking probiotics daily and Diflucan 3 times a week. I had no problems with oral thrush, yeast infections or c diff.

Diflucan will work. Ask your pharmacist it is over the counter in Canada. In the US i think you need a prescription. I did once a month and then one month I had yeast infection I did 1 pill each day for 5 days. That got rid of every yeast I had in my body, incredible stuff
