I am wondering if what I have been experiencing is normal. I just started treatment and have been on Doxycycline (100mg 2x/day) for almost 4 weeks now. The first week was the worst in how I felt, the 2nd week I started feeling somewhat better. Then into my 3rd week, I woke up one day and I felt like I did when I first started the antibiotics. Then that took me a couple days before I started feeling better again. Then again, into my 4th week, after a few days of feeling better, I woke up and I felt like I did when I first started the antibiotics. Is this normal? Is this part of the herxing/die off or the side effects of the antibiotic?

I am going through similar things. It seems one or two days good, then one or two days bad, or really bad. I think for me it could be herxing. But I have also learned that my ebstein barr levels are very high, because my body is working so hard to fight the lyme and co-infections. I find that when I rest well, I feel much better. I have learned through experience, as well as my LLMD telling me, sleep and rest has everything to do with the way you feel with this/these diseases.
Most everyone has epstein barr in their system, and when your body is fighting something and is run down, it comes back to haunt you real bad.
