Lyme Disease Support Group
Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.
I'm probably not the best one to answer this. Antibiotics didn't agree with me. My digestive
system, mainly my stomach wasn't able to tolerate them. Also, even now, I can not always
tell if I'm having a herx or a flareup too. I've been treated for chronic Lyme for some 12 years.
Once I took too many herbs in a protocol and had to stop. Are you working with a Lyme
literate doctor? Everyone's different and is going to react different. I would call the office
and try to talk with a nurse if there is one to talk with. If I couldn't get a hold of my doctor, I
would cut back on the drops. It sounds like your system's overloaded. Just wanting to say
that Lyme is difficult to treat. There's a lot of trial and error and you have to go by what your
body's telling you. Hope this is of some help. Hang in there and keep posting your questions.
