Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.
I have been having so many health issues for so long, it almost seems like I\'m in a nightmare. I have been to so many doctors, tested once for Lyme disease and was told it was negitive and that was it. This was in 2001. About 2 years prior I did have this round, very red circle spot on my butt, I do not know how long it was there, it didn\'t hurt or itch, I actually saw it by accident really, getting in the tub, i turned to the mirror and saw it there, it was so red and I kinda passed it off as a bug bite or something and let it go, we had went to a park about a couple weeks before so I figured I was something there. Thought nothing of it. Then a couple months later I got sick, told I had a virus and it would probably get better in about 10 days, well it really never got better and things just got worse. I was looking on the internet for something and there was a picture of what was on my butt, it was a photo of the Lyme rash. Well I again let that go because I did not live in a State where it was happening. When I began having alot of strange illnesses,I decided to be tested for it, like I said 2001. It is now 2009, I have been to doctor after doctor and not a one of them knows anything about Lyme Disease. I have had
knee problems bad, and everything that is wrong with me requires long term antibiotics, which being allergic to so many of them, there is only a few I can take. I have balance problems, vertigo, and urinary problems, IC. Panic attacks and anxiety and most is passed off as stress and of course Menopause, which hit in the middle of the other stuff right after I turned 41. I am sick alot, and I would love to know from any of you if there is anything I can do at this point to get a doctor to help me find out what this is? I get so tired of going to all these different doctors, for all these different things when it may be one thing causing all of it?

You don't need a rash to get lyme disease, but if it WAS a bullseye, you definitely have lyme. I hope that made sense, I am a bit tired LOL.
Negative tests for lyme mean nothing.
