My Dr. took me off the medications for the lyme but a few days ago one of my arms started hurting if I touch it even just very lightly. I didn't think anything of it until today my other arm started doing the same thing. Then, I remembered back in December my all around my thighs did it to and this was while I was on the medication for the lyme. so my question is, should I call my Dr.? my blood test for the lyme should come back next week but would it be bad to wait that long?

Yes, I would call your doctor just to be safe. I know that when my symptoms were at their worst before I found out it was Lymes my whole body hurt to the touch. It was all I could do to even have clothes on. I was also swollen everywhere just slightly.
It could be that your symptoms are coming back with a vengence from being off the meds. I am a little confused now that I have read your post again. Have you gotten a diagnosis of Lyme yet or your awaiting your results and your doctor put you on Meds just from the symptoms you were having assuming it was Lyme?And are you seeing a LLMD (Lyme doctor)

See your doc again about the pain. I know everyone here knows that pain well. Sometimes it simply hurts too much to even be touched. My husband doesn't understand there are nights when I can't stand to have him put his arm on me it hurts too much. Or even my kids sitting on my lap can be too much for my legs.

Call you doc's office today and tell them exactly what you wrote here.

I agree with everyone here.. call your doc. I'm wondering why he took you off? If it's bc abx don't agree with you there are other options. If he thought you were done, well, he needs to know this. If it's allergies to meds that's rough as well... but you can work it out as well. So, stay open with your LLMD and please let us know how you're doing, okay? I feel certain that he will fix you right up! :o)

we thought that the lyme was gone so she took my off the medication and do a blood test just to be sure it is gone. yes, I am seeing a doctor that specializes in lyme and she's great. but the test should come back early next week so maybe i should just see what's going on when she calls. I just have so many other appointments I don't want to bother my mom with having an other thing going on because I've had to go to Children's Hospital in Boston for injuries and PT so I just don't know if I want to bother her with an other thing and just wait for the doctor to call.

When my husband was at his worst, it hurt when anyone just touched him. I have not experienced that.

Write down in a journal what you are experiencing, and your questions. You'll think you'll remember, but you likely won't. It doesn't have to be perfect, you're not being graded! Also, it helps to organize your thoughts so that your appointment with your doctor will be utilized to the utmost, and you will ask everything you wanted too.

Please let your mother know what's going on. She knows the most about your situation. As a mother myself, I'd want to know.
