Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. It is now one of the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. Lyme disease is caused by infection with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria, and is primarily transmitted to humans as well as dogs, horses and other domesticated animals by the bite of infected ticks.
It could be that your symptoms are coming back with a vengence from being off the meds. I am a little confused now that I have read your post again. Have you gotten a diagnosis of Lyme yet or your awaiting your results and your doctor put you on Meds just from the symptoms you were having assuming it was Lyme?And are you seeing a LLMD (Lyme doctor)
Call you doc's office today and tell them exactly what you wrote here.
Write down in a journal what you are experiencing, and your questions. You'll think you'll remember, but you likely won't. It doesn't have to be perfect, you're not being graded! Also, it helps to organize your thoughts so that your appointment with your doctor will be utilized to the utmost, and you will ask everything you wanted too.
Please let your mother know what's going on. She knows the most about your situation. As a mother myself, I'd want to know.
