Hmmm.... what color are they? Do you get any other rashes, any when exposed to the sun? Lupus can cause a number of different skin rashes and really the only was to know for sure if its lupus is to have a skin biopsy done on the rash. Initially a dermatologist told me that my rash (coupled with hair loss and joint pain I might add) was polymorphic light eruption) well.... their steroid cremes didnt work any on the rash and I demanded a biospy and there it was confirmed... Lupus! Have you had any lupus blood tests done to see if youre having inflammation? Keep us posted! Hugs

I have had many lupus panel test all neg thus far ...

And yes I do have and have now for some time a rash or bumps if you will that cover the backs of my arms upper and across my back.

Also a rash or bumps if you will that cover the top of my back and both tops of the back part of arms.looks like prickle of pimples ??

Also a redish rash only on my chin , lots of wide spreed pain my knees to the bone deep ache ,back of my legs behind the knees ache deeply but all of both legs lots of fatuge muscle spasms deep painful ones.over the last few yrs have been dealing with lots of acne now.My sed rate was only a 7 just had that chked but did come back poss for Epstein Barr... Alot of these things come and go in cycles or flairs that can last for weeks but the last 2 yrs it all seems to last for no less then 4 mths at a time ,and this time around more new sx along with some old ones have reappeared.

It's all an endless cycle ! I also get weird pains that shoot through me almost like dagger pains ,I have the ol carple tunnel feeling in the right wrist, and my left side arm and leg seem to take the biggest hit non-stop...

The lines I talk about are just that lines in the skin as if they were wrinkles but even if you try to pull them apart to smooth the skin they seem deep ??? I live in south Florida so I 'm in the sun daily.

& for the last few weeks I have sensitive spots in my scalp ,when I run my fingers across some areas it hurts or like I bumped my head on something I asked my mom to look at it today and she said there was a red spot there ... Theres a few spots on the left side of my head..and the bumps on my back they are ichy,but I often get that feeling that I just wanna scratch all over ! I have so many sx but I'll stop there to see what you think ...

I just got my second negative ANA, but I have so many symptoms of lupus that I really believe now that I must have it.

I've been looking into this for years also. It is very much possible to be diagnosed with lupus despite a negative ANA. It is so hard to be fearful of this illness without even knowing if we have it or we don't. You are not alone in this.

Maybe someday we will get answers to this puzzle of our symptoms.

I get up very early to do gardening and yard work, so I don't have to work outside in the sun and heat. It really does help control my symptoms. Getting sun exposure really makes me very ill.

I also have these "wrinkles" on my arm in the same exact place. I also do not know what kind of autoimmune disorder I have I think it may be Lupus and Dermatomyositis which my labs point to as well as my symptoms. Anyway, my "wrinkles" are more visible at times and then fade but you can still see where they were, if you pull the skin tight it is almost like skin inside the creases has turned white. I have been referred to a rheumy but have yet to go, I think I may see a dermatologist first.

the same happens to me but i have sarcoidosis. One of my besties has lupus and it happens to her too,

its weird cause we have identical symtoms but different diseases.

anyhoo both of us have never gotten an explanation for these wierdo lines from a doc, they dont seem to think its anything to be concerned about. I love when they dismiss a symtom

where do you live? like what state? if you lived in WA i'd refer you to the BEST rhummy, she can dx just about any rare disease!

We hav'ent talked in a long time ! I sorta remember asking you some time ago about this ( I Think ?? ) However Yes I can't get any answers to this either !

My neighbor also has Lupus and she gets these same lines,some in the same spots but not all in the same as I ...

so again a medical mystery ! I'm now wanted to ask my Doc to do a punch Byopsy to rule either way if Lupus is present.To this day I still cant get a dern DX ! Only Pseudotumor thus far and Shunt surg due to that. I am working on finding a Rheumy and Neuro. to finally get to the bottom of all the suffering pain I've endured for the past 4 yrs ! I start PT on Monday for extrem muscle weakness..
