Internist is leaning to Lupus, on top of my CVID (immune deficiency). For a week I have had horrible pains under my ribs on the sides, radiating to my back. Spent some time in the Emerg on Monday (holiday) to check it out - blood & urine all clear. Doc gave me naproxen and buscopan. Spent the day with a heating pad, yesterday was better but didnt' eat much. Today, very sore again...will have to head to my GP.
I *think* eating makes it worse...maybe caffiene too...have no real appetite.
So...a complete blood count work up and urine test should rule out kidneys right ? No pain going to the bathroom, no fever. Very tired, joints a mess - sinus infection and recovering from bronchitis.
Anyone know if these tests would pick up pancreatitis ? I've been reading and looking for possibilities. Kidney issues scare me but it doesn't fit. The emerg doc was a little distressed she couldn't figure it out. I had a upper abdominal ultraound a couple of weeks ago & it all looked fine.
FWIW, I have a elevated ANA, had a discoid rash from sun all over my legs & arms last summer, joint pain for 3-4 years...lots of sickness (pneumoinia, etc.). I take plasma for the low IgGs and that's it so far.
Plan on seeing a doc today, but a GP so any info would be helpful !

Wouldn't it be nice that with all this things were a little more black and white ? Always feel like I am guessing...and so are the docs...don't want to have to run in there and waste everyone's time!
