One day i'm going to get on here and suprise everyone and not be venting, but today isn't the day! Does anyone else on here have problems with laringitis? Know i didn't spell that right but yall know what I mean! Woke up yesterday with sore throat, glands swollen, was at work last night talking to some friends and next time I opened my mouth nothing came out! Last time this happened I couldn't talk for 6 weeks! And i am just exhausted! Nothing but sleep and work. I'm open to any and all suggestions!! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weekend!

Hi Barbara,
Do you have Sjogren's syndrome too? I think that can cause laryngitis.

I hope you you don't lose your voice for 6 weeks again!

Dr's never said syndrome so don't think so. I just get alot of sore throats and about twice a year lose voice. hope it comes back soon! take care!

I have sjogrens and lose my voice often. it might be good if you had it checked as it goes right along with all the other things you have, You don't always have dry eyes and mouth as first symptoms. hugs

My husband's niece has lupus also,and a couple years ago,she became hoarse,and kept having problems with it,and no one could figure out why. Finally her doctors checked her throat and she had some nodules on it,causing her to lose her voice. They did surgery to remove them,and she can talk fine now. Her specialist said that he has seen many cases in lupus patients where benign nodules can appear anywhere in the body for some reason. I hope this is helpful to you. Her surgery was pretty minimal,I think only the day in the hospital,and she recovered fine. Maybe you could ask about it. Hope you feel better soon, Judy

Sunday night and still no voice! some think its a good thing..lol... i go to a new dr thursday hope he can tell me whats going on..really just going for another opinion on everything! Not happy with my rheumy of late. Have a good night everyone!
