Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.
I have been on Imuran for about 4 months now. I haven't noticed any side efffects from it. I would be calling your doc about it. Maybe Imuran or maybe something else but it should be checked out. Take care and thinking of you.

They are constantly changing my meds in an effort to get me off of prednisone. I have had reactions to many different meds including plaquenil. I am on cellcept now and I feel better most days. Sometimes I can be on a med for quite some time and then it just quits working so they have to try something different. I guess since lupus changes so should the meds. Be patient with yourself and realize that we are all different so it may take some time to get the right combination of meds that work for you.
I was thinking how easy it is to say "try not to be discouraged" I'm feeling discouraged my self today, and it's not so easy to try not to be. I've been over doing it and cough a bit of sun last week so I suppose meds can only do so much and we have to help ourselves also.
Sorry I seem to also be rambling
