Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.
I'm new here also. Just diagnosed in April. I am so conused and angry. I don't know if I ask the wrong questions, but none of my drs can answer them or give me any information. I think I'm having a reaction to plaquenil. But is this how I'm going to feel until it kicks in? It feels like someone is standing on the back of my eyeballs. I'm in so much pain all over I can't function. I had many other things happen also even gynologically. I wasn't like his until I started taking the plaquenil. I had taken it for two months and stopped it. Started taking Celebrex 2x/day and felt way better than I ever had. I was my old self. Insurance won't cover name brand so went to generic and they only pay for once a day. Believe me there is a big difference between name brand and generic.
Sorry to ramble. Just lost and don't know where to turn.
