Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.
A couple of thoughts - are you on blood thinners or other medication that might be causing the cold feeling, or could you possibly be anemic? Those were two of the things which caused me problems with being cold. Just an idea.
I hope you can find some way to deal with it or find a solution and feel better.
It is very frustrating especially when my friends are running off in t-shirts and i'm all bundled up in a scarf and an thick overcoat buttoned to my neck.
But I find that if I stay warm its easier to keep warm rather than be cold and then try and warm up (if that makes any sense). So there are times when I am wearing two pairs of trousers, but I'd rather that than be cold!
Hope you find some relief that works for you soon!
Sending (((warm hugs))) your way! :)
It's hard to manage but I guess you have to adjust to it.
