Hey everyone,
I was diagnosed with UCTD (being treated for lupus) a few weeks ago and was placed on steroids (prednisone) for 30 days along with Plaquenil, Gabapentin, and Cymbalta (I have depression and also fibromyalgia). I've noticed some pain since I've come off the steroids...and I was essentially pain-free when I was on them after the first few days. Anyone else experience this? I'm not sure if this is happening because I'm now off the steroids, or if this is a flare of some kind and it's a coincidence...although I'm assuming it's probably not.
Also, anyone have good experiences with plaquenil or gabapentin? I know they take a while to work but I was hoping that maybe they'd eventually kick in and I could be in less pain again, since it was nice while it lasted! I'm new to this whole thing so any info would be awesome.

I did have some good results with steroids combined with plaquenil. And, it's not unusual to feel some pain after coming off steroids if they were keeping your inflammation/pain under control. I've had that happen many times.
