Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.
Regarding your face rash getting worse after eating, you might want to consider an elimination diet. Gluten is a big problem for me and causes me to flare. I have a couple friends who also can't tolerate gluten, but the one also breaks out on his face if he consumes soy, and another friend must stay away from dairy. If you do an elimination diet, be sure to eliminate one allergen at a time and stay away from that allergen for about 3 months before re-introducing it. Again, this can be trial-and-error, but for me it was worth it. Best wishes to you, Dand7.
