Lupus Support Group
Lupus is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system cannot distinguish between threats (like viruses and bacteria), and healthy cells and tissue. As a result, the body produces antibodies that inflict cell damage, most commonly targeting joints, skin, kidneys and the nervous system. Join the group and find support for coping with lupus.
I met you on the MCTD site. My diagnosis is now undiferentiated connective tissue disease, probably lupus. It was MCTD with lupus components. All the same in my opinion. I still feel the same. Oh, forgot, I am supposed to be in remission but now have fibro. Sheesh!
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. This must be so hard for you. I hope you can get this flare under control but stress makes it difficult.
Are you sure it is not hot flashes? When I flash, I get dizzy, nauseated, and then extremely hot for a minute or so, then get chilled. These started when I was 43. I continue to have them, I am 62 now. But they were so frequent at first but have gradually gone down to 1-2 a day.
Also, my cardiologist is determined to prove I have AFIB since I had the TIA. I am on a heart monitor AGAIN and he wants to implant a monitor. I say, dont give me something I dont have! I have enough already. He put me on Flecainid which made me very dizzy and feeling faint the first week or so. Are you on that?
