Lupron Victims Community Group
This is a group for those who have been on Lupron and it HAS NOT worked. It is also for those of us who have had the adverse side effects or those who stopped taking Lupron due to not being able to deal with the side effects. This is NOT a group for those who like Lupron. Thank you.

Hi All,
I'm Kristie. I have Endometriosis, and have had 3 laps so far. I am entering my 3rd month on Lupron. I think I could very well go crazy. I have had such bad panic attacks that my doctor had to double my estrogen, and increase my anti-depressant. I don't like the insomnia, but I can put up with it, but the depression and mood swings are a different story. I've been so depressed that I can't focus on anything. I've slept all weekend two weekends in a row now, and I can't tolerate anything unpleasant. It's affecting my relationship with my fiance, and I don't know how long I can take this. I called my doctor at lunch today, but I ended up having to leave a message to have someone call me back. I don't know if I can even wait till the 24th when I have an appointment with him.
Just wanted to reach out and share.
Thanks,
Kristie

Stop the medication. Tell your doctor enough is enough. I'd rather hap laps after another than go on the medication. The best way I found about the Panic attacks is to actually to a bit of a reverse phsyh on yourself. When they come on--in stead of fearing it--face it...yell out loud "Is that all you've got? Bring it on!" THe panic attack is just fear of fear. Nobody has ever died from a panic attack before. If you recognize it--face it. The longer you are on the meds, the longer it will be before those go away. As for sleeping, try those $7 relxing CDs at walmart. They are great. Your doctor will tell you that you are crazy thinking the Lupron did this to you. Just remember they get a lofty $$$ kickback for each injection. Tell her you are stopping the procedure. If you have endo then you can actually curve your diet to prevent it from coming back. Switching to a diabetic diet can help...Once a lap is done and you are cleaned out...the same goes if you have PCOS. Please feel free to email me directly with questions as I don't come here often. JennyLynn1426@yahoo.com just put Lupron victim in the subject.

Hi Kristiek I'm Janet and NO you are not going crazy it's the drug lupron that is doing this to your body. I'm part of a support group on yahoo.com called lupronvictims if you need any info or other women to just to listen to you while you vent this group will help you. Not only did lupron almost drive me insane it also caused nerve and joint damage that isn't reversable. Hang in there I will pray for you

I've been having the same problems with the Lupron. I've had 3 shots so far and my doctor wants to continue another 3 months. But I cant do it! The depression, mood swings, headaches, fatigue.. It's not worth it for me. I've had the endo for at least 6 years and i'm only 22. I managed to have one child, but with many complications and do not want anymore. I would rather have a hysterectomy then to go through this the rest of my life. I feel for every woman that has had to go through this and I pray you all get better.

I AGREE WITH YOU, MY DOCTOR PUT ME ON LUPRON TO SRINK FIBROIDS SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY. I WAS EXTREMELY ANEMIC AND BHLEEDING HEAVYLY. SO SHE SAID LUPRON WOULD STOP BLEEDING AND SRINK THE TUMORS---- IT DID NEITHER. I STILL HAVE HEAVY BLEEDING AND AN STILL ANEMIC TO THE POINT WHERE I HAD TO GET AN TRANSFUSION. MY DOCTOR NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT THE SIDE EFFECTS FROM THIS DRUG, AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I AM DIZZY ALL THE TIME AND FATIGUED.

Nobody should ever "try" Lupron. You can be badly injured on the first shot (like me)! Even if you feel OK at first, then you will keep taking it and eventually be injured. Lupron had a terrible reputation. It causes dystonia, vision loss, permanent bone pain, tooth loss, etc. Please Google Lupron Petition and Lupron Victims. And switch doctors!

So I have now been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I've done some research on google to begin with and have found out that there is a link between Lupron and Neuromuscular Disorders. Just thought I'd pass this on to all you ladies.
