Lupron Victims Community Group
This is a group for those who have been on Lupron and it HAS NOT worked. It is also for those of us who have had the adverse side effects or those who stopped taking Lupron due to not being able to deal with the side effects. This is NOT a group for those who like Lupron. Thank you.
I just joined this group after finding this site researching side effects of lupron. So I guess I will get right down to it and list what I am feeling at the moment.
Got a 3 month shot about 6 weeks ago, and I feel worse everyday.(treating endometriosis) First 2 weeks were not so bad, but then I got my period...OMG, worst dibilitating pain I have ever had. Then the hot flashes started. At first they were only at night, but now I get them at least twice an hour. About 3 weeks in, I was outside, about 65 degrees and sunny, wearing pants, my legs felt like they were burning, Went inside and my whole thighs were covered in purple splotches. Mind you this is after 10 minutes outside with pants on, what?? I seem to not be able to tolerate heat I guess.
SInce then I have had all these symptoms: a headache for the last 12 days (nonstop and no amount of advil or excedrine makes it go away :( ), blurry vision, ringing in my ears and partial hearing loss at times, weight loss (OK i dont mind that one), confusion, anxiety, memory loss, moodiness...my friends and family say I seem like a totally different person. Now the worst side effect, that came on in the last couple days is this strange pain..nothing that I've ever felt before, so not sure how to describe it. Started in my back, (felt like someone drilling into me), then my neck, and now down the back of my left leg and bottom of left foot. I feel as though I am 100 years old!
I know I should go back to my doc and tell him all of this...he said if it was bad he could give me add back therapy. Now when I look online, it seems as though that involves birth control pills...I'm i correct? Well, I cannot take BCP due to the fact they caused a TIA about 5 years ago. Is there any other way to conteract these effects?
By the way, this shot has done nothing for my endometriosis pain either. Nice remedy, I feel 100 times worse than before I got the shot...I will not be continuing this.
SO my question is 1. do these side effects sound right? and 2. are BCP the only add back therapy you can take?

everyone is diffrent but i had the some of the symptoms as u and i went to the doctors and they think its due to me not makeing enough estrogen and all thati havent had a period for over a year and here it is oct. yes i have an iud and yes this is my 2nd one. but im 39 . and if its not menapausal or hormonal then it apparently has somthing to do with estrogen not making enough. i had the headaches and the mooodiness and i have depresstion and anxeity i have weight gain. wish i had the weigh loss would of been nice lol. i have back pain to the point where i cant stand very long. i felt about 80 and i dont care to do anything . so u arent the only one with these side affects. the doctors things that the lupron shot may of shut me down as to having a menstraual. im still producing eggs just not a menstral.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
