My Mother died in my arms on Friday, February 1st @ 8:15pm. She had a problem breathing on Weds & was kept on oxygen. She went to sleep & never woke up. The nurses think she may have had a stroke. She never responded to any of us when we spoke to her which was very hard. I was supposed to visit her on Saturday but I am so glad I left on Wednesday night or I wouldn't have been able to tell her goodbye.

Mom was the strongest woman I know. She fought cancer for 7 years and never gave up. She never complained and kept a very positive attitude through it all. She was about 60 pounds when she died. It's so hard. I actually started to dial her phone number a few hours ago. I would call her every day. I can't believe she's really gone but I am glad she's no longer suffering & in so much pain. I miss her. Mom was my HERO.

I am so sorry for you. It will take so much time for you to accept she is in another place. I find at times I can accept my mum is some where else and other times I can't accpet I can't talk to. But as the days go by you will learn ways to cope and carry on with life although I am sure you don't feel like that just now. Please if you need to chat or anything please let me know. I'm so sorry you lost your beloved Mom. I also lost my Mom to lung cancer on 9/9/07. I miss her terribly and I often wish I could pick up the phone and call her. My mother's quality of life was very poor for the last month or two and she had lost a lot of weight like your mother. I don't think she even weighed 70 pounds at the end. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Knowing that my mom is no longer suffering and in pain is the only thing that keeps me going most days. Take care of yourself.

My mom is currently in the hospital right now. The doctors have told us she doesn't have much longer. She's constantly in misery and suffering as well and I wish for her to be freed and in peace too. I will miss her so much but I don't know how much longer I can stand watching and listening to her moan, cry, restless and not eating. She's so sad and is constantly frowning. My mom is my hero too. She is the most independent and brave woman I know. I wish her misery would end...

I'm glad your mom is finally free and in peace. She is in a better place now.
