Anyway... if you want to talk... I'm here and I could really use this group's support too.
So far I thought I was a fairly normal person, just unlucky in relationships. But after I read Robin Norwood - Women who love too much book...it was like someone told me I am this whole different, messed up person.
What is your addiction? How did you hide it? I am just starting to get better...actually...better said...just wanting to get better... but the start is hard. I find it hard to not try to fix everything when it comes to men, or to just recieve instead of always giving... and let's not even talk about intimacy... My goal is that one day I will be able to accept a normal guy who cares and wants and loves me...without me thinking it's the most boring thing on Earth... I hope I won't always seek the thrills of "love" or addiction.
the pattern of addiction may have an emotional component which may be used to fulfill enjoyment and excitement. Then you have a crash like a person who takes a hit of a drug of some sort, thereafter the cycle continues you need to understand your self value by fixing your own fundemental needs and remember only you can make yourself happy and thereafter once you have found this within yourself it will attract someone with the same level of happiness, morales and values.
