I have been in a long distance relationship for two years. This year in August, I'm finally going to see him! it's been a rough two years, but it's all been worth it. I'm looking forward to staying with him for months and holding him. To everyone in an LDR, I just want to say stay strong! Everything will fall into place. It may get hard at times, but don't focus on the bad things. Enjoy those little moments you have together because eventually, you'll be together again :)

This was really helpful, especially for me this evening. My boyfriend and I live nearly 4,000 miles away and have never conventionally met. I already have a tripped planned for a week in the next month, but it seems as though it's so far away. Even though we Skype and communicate almost daily, we all know it isn't the same. And after this trip, excluding a week long trip that he plans to make sometime in the winter, we will have another year and a half to wait before we will actually be together. It is and will be incredibly difficult, but I'm slowly learning to treasure those little moments, and to look forward to this upcoming trip and our future together.

Thanks for that. I was having a really bad day today. I live in New Zealand and he is in Canada which means we have really small windows to talk and catch up because he wakes when I'm going to bed and vice versa. I'm finally going to see him in August but some days its super hard when all you want to do is share your day with them.

Simple Plan - Jet Lag really sums it up for me. It gets played A LOT!! lol

Guess we just have to keep our chins up and hold onto the fact that despite how hard it is at times we have someone that loves us no matter how far away they are from you
