This community is a place where you can share your long distance challenges and triumphs, vent, give long distance tips and ideas, or just get support from people like you who are going through the same thing. Whether you live a couple hours away or a couple continents away, the specific challenges that face a long distance relationship are unique and difficult.
Two months into a LDR, me in Texas & she in Illinois, and I've poured my heart & soul into this relationship. Daily texts, our own group in Facebook, calls cell to cell. Today, I had very nice texts from her and here it is Friday. I really wanted to talk with her tonight and she was out to a wine tasting. I knew her schedule today and now it's later in the evening and I haven't heard from her and missing her goes without saying. Texted her a few times no response and now I feel like crap cuz I know she has a life to live since we're far apart. But, I get these fellings and wonder what she's up to. And I hate jealousy and yet, the green monster makes its appearance. First time I've had these feelings since we started our LDR. Now the feelings of do I trust her wash over me, which I hate. I send her romantic cards with gift cards inside. I've written poetry from my own heart which I've never done before. I sent her a webcam so we could start using skype. I've told her my feelings for her and she's done likewise. Boy, tonight really sucks. I just like talking to her and looking at photos of her face she sends me. We're both 54 and divorced so each of us knows what we want in a relationship. I can't see her again until October and I don't want to bring the feelings I have tonight into a discussion. But, I still want to be honest with her.

If the two of you were together in the same place and she was gone out with friends or to a wine tasting, would you be wondering what she's up to, would you be jealous or question whether or not you can trust her? If not, then why do you think being in a LDR is raising these questions for you?
100% mutual trust is essential in all relationships whether the couple is together or in a LDR. Without complete mutual trust, the relationship has no solid ground to stand on. You need to examine why you're having these issues, is it your own insecurities or has she ever given you reason to have these feelings?
