So essentially... I'm breaking down. I'm 19 and my boyfriend is 23. We love each other so much but the only problem is that we live more than 2,000 miles apart. We have been talking consistently for a year now and I just got back from a trip from seeing him and I'm not doing well. I know the next time I see him I won't want to leave at all. I know he's my soul mate it's just hard. A year ago we met at Disney Springs and it was just one of those instant connections. I have never felt this way about anyone. It's just really hard right now because I'm in college and both of his parents are sick so they need his help. So we are in a really rough position right now. I'll be seeing him in May again but it's been 2 days apart now and it just keeps getting harder and the days keep getting slower. I could use some long distance success stories and personal tips right now for how some LDR veterans get through it. It just feels like it's not getting any better and every little thing reminds me of him.

I wish I could hug you, I completely get what you're going through. Long distance can be so hard. My LDR wasn't quite that far, but 700 miles is still far enough when you can't see each other every day like your heart wants. We made it work by talking on the phone (we texted too, but the real conversations were what kept us connected) every single day, sometimes for hours. If you put the time into keeping the relationship alive while you're so far apart, then long distance can be just as great as any relationship.

And the thing to remember is that it's not forever. Our commitment to each other during the long distance phase really showed how we felt about each other, and now we're married! So hang in there, do fun things to keep it alive, and as much as possible, try to talk to each other every day

I completely understand what you are going through. My boyfriend and I are 1700 miles apart and I have some really bad days when I am away from him. Which is much more often than not. We have been together long distance for a year. Making lots of time to spend with your partner is extremely important. Calling on the phone whenever you can, even if its quick or several hours (There was one day I was feeling really lonely after seeing him so he spent the entire day on the phone with me... 13 hours. We had lunch and dinner 'together' shared videos with one another and just talked as if there wasn't 1700 miles between us.) We always make sure to snap pictures of what we do throughout the day so the other feels involved.... write letters, he sends me his shirts.

Find the time to video chat and always stay involved as if you were there. Just remember, you won't be apart forever, and the time apart will help you appreciate the time you DO get together that much more. i promise.
It is hard, I know. But I wouldn't change a thing (except for the distance, obviously)

I can really empathise with you on this one! The distance between me and the love of my life is only 100 miles or so, but it still takes its toll on daily life because I’m at uni and he’s working

I feel you but also be thankfully there is people who havnt had the prevelege of the seen yet
Some even wish and pray to have what you have a two days trip ....
I would walk it myself if the border and my passport allow me.. Learn to be thankfully for yOurself belive me the connection would be better
