hello, I'm new here in this group.
we have been married for 4 years but most of our times, we are in a long distance marriage.
My husband goes to college in America and I am working here in japan. It takes at least 10 hours to get here and there, and not just about times, it costs.
He has been attending this community college, and I am not so keen on American education, but it has been taking at least 4 years for us. Is this normal? From what he says, it is hard, not just for him but everyone to get classes they need.
I am 37, and I've been wanting to have a baby or two with him. I know, my age is almost there. But the problem is, my husband is one more semester away to finish (including this fall semester).
As much as I want him to achieve his goals, I want to start a family. It is not our option for me to move in with him, as I am the only one who work at the moment. He has scholarships so he doesn't need to pay tuitions out of his pocket, and he works part time so being like this is not a big problem as far as the financial situation. But if we were to lose then it could be hard, you know?
I found some American schools he might be able to transfer in Japan. So I am going to tell him that but am I being mean to him, if, I am able to wait till next summer, then he is able to get out?
i don't want to sacrifice and let the time just goes by, and I don't want to regret for the rest of my life that I didn't even have a chance to try to have a baby with him, but the distance and this frustration are killing me to think. Am I being mean if I tell him to just come back before supposed to be the last semester?

I have been telling him to get into bachelors as that is what he wants to achieve. I am not trying to cut his education off completely.
He has already started school when we got married. Maybe just my misunderstanding but he told me that this'd be soon. In my country, you have to graduate within certain amount of times, and again, I didn't know much about American education so I thought 2-3 years for him to finish. But it has been 4 years. So I didn't quite understand.
He wants a baby or two but I don't think he quite understands my situation much as he's like 4 years younger than me.
I'd like to talk but we don't have much time. With time difference, him being busy with his classes and assignments... I really don't know what to do. If I were like a few years younger, of course I would tell him to finish it there.
