I have been dating this amazing and wonderful man for 3 months. He lives in the USA and I live in Canada. We are 7-8 hours away. We have been able to see each other every month for about 3 - 4 days at a time. We talk on the phone every night for 2 - 3 hours and text each other everyday. When we are together, life is so wonderful and we are happy and so much in love with each other. The problem is that he suffers from anxiety and depression and he doesn't know how to cope with our long distance relationship. He says he doesn't know how to do this half way. He says he can't stand not being with me everyday because he misses and loves me so much. It's been really hard as we both want to be together everyday and are not able to. I know we can make it work with consistent communication, love, understanding, commitment and a lot of patience. I can see ourselves living together in the future whether it's a year or 2 from now. We just had a wonderful 4 days together and when he got back home, he told me that he wanted to end the relationship as he doesn't see us being able to live together in the near future and that both our kids and his job are suffering. He loves me and doesn't want to let me go but doesn't know how to cope with this. He feels that it's already hard and if we keep on going longer that the pain will be unbearable and he doesn't want to hurt me. I am trying to make him see that there is hope for us and we can make it work. He says he needs space to think about everything. He tends to over analyse everything and doubts himself a lot. He does see an amazing therapist and really wants to discuss with her our situation. I love this man more than I have ever loved anyone before. He is truly remarkable and amazing as a person. He is so kind, gentle, soothing, loving and funny. He is the man I have been looking for my whole life. We talk a lot about our feelings and I just don't want to lose him. Please help me understand....
