Long Distance Relationships (LDR) Support Group
This community is a place where you can share your long distance challenges and triumphs, vent, give long distance tips and ideas, or just get support from people like you who are going through the same thing. Whether you live a couple hours away or a couple continents away, the specific challenges that face a long distance relationship are unique and difficult.
However, my boyfriend (Long distance when he's training overseas) has a lot of girl friends that he's close with because he trains with them too. They all have to share a house, and similar routines and hang out...but none have ever reacted that way towards me.
I don't think you should keep texting her, because she could use your word against hers which it doesn't sound like would be beneath her. She sounds very manipulative and like she's purposely hurting you. I think for the safety of your heart and relationship - you should speak to your boyfriend.
Let's pretend that rude girl's name is Molly. Just talk to him and if you can't speak face to face or skype (sometimes my boyfriend and I don't even have time to do that) just send a message along the lines of 'Hey, Molly has been saying things lately, and it's making me uncomfortable with how much time you may or may not be spending together. I don't want to feel that way especially if you're just friends. I'm more than happy to trust you if you can promise and reassure me that you're just friends and your messages between each other are just friendly"
And then whatever he says you have to trust. If you keep pushing it he will get annoyed/upset/hurt that you don't trust him and it will damage your relationship. Hopefully, if he's a good boyfriend he will be honest and you will be able to trust him. Hopefully, he doesn't have a bad history. I believe that if he's going to cheat, you're basically giving him an option now in that little message to tell you now or forever hold his peace.
When a girl that liked my boyfriend (they slept together 2 years ago) was facebook messaging him a lot, even commenting on all his instagrams and facebook wall etc. I got really jealous and suspicious and annoyed at her. She clearly still likes him and knows he's with me. Even asks my boyfriend about me which is really weird. However, he never seemed suss with the messaging and he never hid it from me. In fact he openly offered to show me twice and he wasn't lying - his messages are all just 'yeah im good thanks' not encouraging a chat but not being mean either. In the end I just have to trust him moving forward when she messages him. Trust me, it's a lot better for your relationship. Let the girl be a fool!!!
So for the girl that's treating you like crap, remember not to message her anymore. She sounds poisonous and like it's working. You don't need that negativity in your life. Long distance is hard enough as it is. Work on your relationship with your boyfriend and that should stick a solid rude finger up in her direction! I know it's working for me by ignoring the chick in my boyfriend's life so hopefully it works for you too! Goodluck!! Sorry for the essay!
