Long Distance Relationships (LDR) Support Group
This community is a place where you can share your long distance challenges and triumphs, vent, give long distance tips and ideas, or just get support from people like you who are going through the same thing. Whether you live a couple hours away or a couple continents away, the specific challenges that face a long distance relationship are unique and difficult.
I too felt very sad, but had the "well let's ensure i plan another visit soon" but he said " we should take it slower", so it's a catch 22.
I really want to make it work, he is interstate. He wants to make it work but thinks slower is better. I think it's harder!
The first few days are always the worst. I come on here to cope. Or I cry and eat complete garbage. Or all three.
My boyfriend and I have been together for almost two years, LD the whole time, and we have never broken up or even considered it. We're both very happy and an LDR is very doable, if you're willing to put forth the effort and the sacrifice of it.
It's painful to be away from the person you love the most..someone on here once posted saying that it's not normal, which they're right, it's not. But when you're meant to be with someone, you'll make it work.
I hope things have improved since you posted this. Maybe I'll luck out and you'll have an email notification set or something.
