Long Distance Relationships (LDR) Support Group
This community is a place where you can share your long distance challenges and triumphs, vent, give long distance tips and ideas, or just get support from people like you who are going through the same thing. Whether you live a couple hours away or a couple continents away, the specific challenges that face a long distance relationship are unique and difficult.
I know a couple that do what you're doing, they own a home in both areas and see each other every weekend taking turns with the traveling. It works out well for them.
If it's fine with you and your husband then it's the right thing to do. If he's not happy with this arrangement, the two of you need to talk about it and see if there's some kind of compromise that will work for the two of you.
I don't see anything wrong with any kind of relationship arrangements, there is no right or wrong. If it works for the two people involved and they're happy then that's all that matters.
So I think I'd rather wait until I can find a way to have a job closer to him before I agree to moving closer.
If I was unhappy, I would leave my job to live with my husband. If it's important for you to make your own money, look for jobs in his city and maybe make the move once a job opens up. If you think you could be comfortable being a housewife, or getting a part time job or maybe an eventual stay at home mom then I say move now and sort the rest out later.
I guess my point is, do what makes you happy first (seeing as the finances are not an issue) and the rest will fall into place.
