Long Distance Relationships (LDR) Support Group
This community is a place where you can share your long distance challenges and triumphs, vent, give long distance tips and ideas, or just get support from people like you who are going through the same thing. Whether you live a couple hours away or a couple continents away, the specific challenges that face a long distance relationship are unique and difficult.
How often should you meet, chat, call, that depends on the two of you and what works for both of you. There are no set rules as to what will work and what won't, you and he need to discuss it and see what you both need. If your needs are different, you both need to compromise and find a solution that works for both of you.
S and I have been LDR for 3 1/2 years, but we're 520 miles apart and I'll be moving there in the near future. We talk on the phone once or twice a day, a short email here and there and we see each other for 3 or 4 weeks every few months.
Keeping an interest in each other, if you both want to stay together, keeping the interest shouldn't difficult, the interest will be there. Continue talking about your future plans with each other, be open about your feelings about each other, each of your interests, don't argue over petty, silly things and the interest won't dwindle.
If you're both secure with each other and with the relationship, you love each other, want to be with each other, trust each other 100% which is very important, you both know the LDR will be temporary, you shouldn't have a problem making it work.
