Hi, I live in Australia and there is a guy who likes me, but who I'm very cautious about. Things he says, attitudes he shows. I just don't trust him.
Anyway the latest is that I asked him if we could talk on mic and he totally shut me down. He told me he talks to no one via the mic or the phone, not family, not friends, not anyone. Well I was calm and explained to him that the mic and the phone are really my only options, and he said that wasn't true that we were talking now on Windows Live Messenger. But there's only so much chatting I can do on there, and I do like to voice chat once in a while to keep things fresh. Well this guy has been very clear in that he will never, ever talk to me on phone or mic because he does not enjoy talking on them and doesn't want to do anything that he dislikes. He even had the audacity to get mad at me cause I was upset that he had made that kind of decision. Which made me feel crappy and like I was the one at fault, even though deep down I know I had a legitimate request.
So I guess what I'm asking for is some advice but if someone could also voice that little inner voice of mine that says, "hey, it's not your fault, the guy is just a jerk", that would be awesome. My inner voice has turned into less of a whisper. Also what game is he playing at cause I'm all kinds of lost? Thanks in advance. It's so hard finding a nice decent guy who doesn't play these games.

yes it is hard to meet quality pple, guys or gals. but there are some that are what they claim to be. but lots of fools gold out there. just continue trying, be smart and alert to anything that doesnt add up. where did you meet this guy anyway??
Your request is perfectly normal and legit, don't feel bad at all. Nothing that you said about this guy makes him sound good in anyway. I don't know you but trust me YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO DO BETTER THAN HIM.
I met this guy many years ago when I used to roleplay (non-sexual on any level) in an online group for anime fans. He's one of the very few I remained in touch with but I'm not sure I'll do much of that anymore. I love to write so this group was perfect for me, but hiding behind an avatar I guess people can often keep doing it. I never did. It was more "I wish I were more like this character I'm RPing", than "I am going to be this character I'm RPing."
I have supposedly heard his voice on his voice mail, but who knows right? And no, I've never seen him on webcam. He said he was going to take some photos but he's always got an excuse why they've not been uploaded. Something's up. I've wasted enough time and effort on this, and although I do love a puzzle, this is one puzzle I won't be trying to fit the pieces together.
