How to decide who moves to whom?

When and how do you have the talk about moving closer together and finally ending the distance?

I think you can bring up the talk at anytime in a discussion. Probrably have the distance become closer 50/50 for example, the bf lives in CA and the gf lives in NY, both would travel to the agreed state that is the closest in distance to each state like Missouri. It can also be done overtime. Sorry not sure how to have the talk, i would just bring it up the next time i'm in a talk

My bf and I had a 6-year long distance relationship until I decided to "bite the bullet" and move. He started the discussion and it took us several more months before I made the choice.
It wasn't easy (still not even after a year), but as he told me the only guarantee we have that this works is if we're both willing to make it work.

My choice was easy-I'm living in a place I don't plan to stay in, and even though my family is here he lives in a state that I had actually planned to move to. Plus, he has a son, and I would never think of uprooting him.

Me and my GF talked about this once. I think we're both scared to make any plans for the future in case it doesn't work out. It's gonna be hard too, because I can't leave my family behind and I don't think my GF does either. We're slowly working on this, for now.

Well im planning to go to college in Florida. {Thats if I get accepted to either F.S. of U.F. but i KNOW i will :P} lol But he said he would more than gladly move with me there when i do because hes going to college online so that would be the perfect chance for us to move in together. but even if i dont go to Florida we'll still have that same plan for whatever state i decide to go to college at.

I am moving to my wonderful GF in Chicago. We decided this because she wants to go to school there and I am ready for a change anyway, I don't mind leaving my city behind and she loves Chicago...I guess we got lucky because I had just volunteered from the beginning.

My DH didnt speak the language, so that was a given...but... I visited before moving, met with his family, made sure I liked them enough, sorta-kinda gave the job market a little feel... in short, I just wanted to make sure that it was going to be OK for me to move all the way from Venezuela to Pittsburgh, PA...

I think that if I had not liked it here, the environment and the people who surrounded him, we would've moved to another US city.

Well I think you should have the talk once you know is for sure when you know there is no one better than that person then that's when you or the other person should bring it up.
