This community is a place where you can share your long distance challenges and triumphs, vent, give long distance tips and ideas, or just get support from people like you who are going through the same thing. Whether you live a couple hours away or a couple continents away, the specific challenges that face a long distance relationship are unique and difficult.
And I'm just... I want to be livid, but I can't. I'm only upset, worried... So damn worried. I want more than anything to be there for her, right now. Is it bad that I miss when she cries? Because holding her while she does is one of the situations where we're at our absolute closest. Obviously, I'd give the world for her never to cry again. But, if she has to, I'd prefer it be in my arms.
I hate that we're grieving separately. I hate that she's alone, right now. I remember holding her when she first learned of her grandmother's cancer, and I can't imagine what she must be feeling at this point.
It isn't fair. None of it is fair at all. This is just... the worst possible time...
I just hope to god she'll be okay.

Coming from a place where when my grandma died and I was *married* to a man who could barely give me a hug, I think it is amazing that you want to be there for her the way you do right now. I agree with jodia7 - just keep telling her you wish you could and show her as best as you can. Hugs to you both.
