I met my LDR in yahoo chat almost 12 years ago . He is from Australia and I am from Texas originally . We played trivia and other online games for a bit then we became a couple . It was awesome , he was so much fun to be around , he would brag on how beautiful I was but not let anyone see me on cam nor even put a pic up , we had a group of online chatroom friends . Two years into the relationship he has asked me to marry him ... he disappears ... I am shocked and very sad . He came back after 3 weeks and apologized and I forgave .
Its now 5 years into the relationship and he coming to the US , he wins 15 grand on the Melbourne Cup ( Horse racing ) . He pops his cam up and shows me his winnings .... yayyyyy.... he is coming finally !!
He disappears for 9 weeks so I move on and find a new past time .
He calls , I come back to him ....
He disappears , making hidden accounts in yahoo , now in another chat client as well , staying online all night and day not working , hanging out with inappropriate people , those who bash Americans and gays , and are racists
11 years have now passed , he is a habitual/pathological liar whom cannot keep one lie straight , I forgive him , he can't help himself . The walls around my heart thicken and grow . I love him as my friend but I am not in love with him anymore , the hurts , lies , cheating have taken a toll ... He has literally drove me almost insane with drama , and his narcissitic ways . I am now in therapy ... trying to get past some of his BS and my enabling it all .
I am systematically pulling away from him slowly so that the shock of the lost dreams don't kill me . I am ashamed of myself for letting it go on as long as it has ...
I want to go meet him in person and find out why he couldn't keep one promise ...
( he is not married , never has been but has a son , and the son's mother and my guy live together but she has told me its not as husband and wife )
I need to meet him for my own hearts sake ... I have to know

as for meeting him why bother ? why waste anymore time on him then you already have... You already know he's a liar so what's makes you think he's gonna tell you the truth about anything now?
I think you need to move on with your life and forget about him... He's clearly very immature and isn't ready for a relationship let alone marriage......
