Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...

we have a blues fest here on the Arch grounds thru the month of Sept. on Saturday nights I think....but I did not go due to circumstances....
this weekend I buried my Mom...she died Sunday last weekend at one month exactly from her 95th birthday.....
so family all weekend except today....I have talked to on phone one sister only....texted other but no replies....
it is good idea to do a sunday night thread on what we did this weekend.....oh I also worked the delivery job I have for Panera Bread Co today....just 2 of the scheduled 3hrs....we were really slow so GM let me off early....I only had two deliveries....and the other guy I think had two also....
today was spent at home mostly waiting for the AC repair guy who lives across street to come fix AC....he came....but it took him longer than I had hoped...had he come earlier I might have gotten out of house somewhere and spent money which is not good though...LOL
I went out at about 5:30 to chair my Debtors Anonymous Meeting at 6 and we had just five others than me...but it was a great meeting...
came straight home and used weed whacker to trim some of the back yard unto the line broke off in the spinner thing....stopped at that point to bring inside the bottom portion of trimmer and pull out the line again....it is a bit of hassle it breaks all the time...and I have to stop and redo the entire string winding that it takes to get it working again....so I just decided nope that can go out fixed tomorrow and then I can finish it later....LOL
They have three boys eight and under. We all visited my father-in-law
at his assisted living facility. Then went out to a restaurant for lunch.
We went over my brother-in-laws house for dinner which is directly
across the street from where we live. Got carry out food. And brought
a box of toys over that we bought for the kids. Sunday was very quiet.
I remember ABBA... I did grow up liking some of the "poppier' music than most in the 70s so they did have some songs that I liked well enough, but I wouldn't say I was a fan. In those days I was a Bee Gees fan until the Stones released Some Girls and then I went to the more classic rock side. I still maintained an interest in old Motown, Funk/Soul, and even some Disco. Stil getting to go see an ABBA tribute band would be a nice way to spend an evening.
My oldest daughter was home for the weekend before her last week of job training and we got to spend some time shopping, watching the Cardinals, and walking in the evenings. It's one of the last weekends we'll have together though because once she graduates her academy and starts working, she won't have weekends off. That just hit me. The end of regular weekends with the last of my kids that is still around. wow.
I still can't get over all the Boomer stuff my daughter (now 27) listened to when she was a teenager. To me that would be like me grooving on Lawrence Welk when I was a kid...just doesn't make sense. Although these days, Stan Kenton is more my style.
Pretty much in full recluse mode this week, but going on a trip starting tomorrow so that'll change a little.
Sorry about your Mom. I know that must be tough even though she was up in years.
I remember getting into ABBA when I was a preteen and saw commercials on tv selling the albums. Didn't really get big into music until the 80s. I just saw there is an ABBA tribute band in Sweden also so the one here is not the only one. The band name is ARRIVAL and they sound really good. I listened to some of the videos but then my OCD kicked in and i kept hearing ABBA songs in my head and it was time to give that up.
