Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. But all I can think of is that they did their best to raise me. But to this day I havent said I love you as a family member. Its never crossed my mind, I should at least say it once because they are caring. But that part of me that has brewed the hate of a thousand souls. I fear only madness remains in my mind.
But seeing as how many people have these toxic parents, I would admit mine were toxic enough. I dont know much about my actual parents, I just know at some point my dad was either desperate, given up, or he actually loved someone who was weak. But in weakness comes strength.
Reading your post made me think of people who I worked with for over 30 years who have isolated me in my new community 750 miles away by gossipping about me - it's gone on for decades. It doesn't seem possible that anyone could have accomplished this much damage to someone's life just by gossipping.
I'm sorry you were treated horribly by your parents.
The only thing that would probably explain, not justify, any of it would be a glimpse of them as little children, and what sort of hell they almost certainly.endured.
My mother resented me for as far back as I can remember. She had me when she was still a kid, herself. She used to talk about her drunken father chasing her and her siblings around the house with a shotgun. Nobody emerges as Donna Reed after something like that.

I'm even glad, at this point, that my parents never hugged me; would be creepy to have such people like them do. My dad did, once, during some ordeal, say he "lvd" (even that word seems creepy coming out of him). That's the effect my parents had on me.

I, ME, definately waste too much time obsessing and obsessing and obsessing, though right now with the excuse that I COULDN'T (?) think out this stuff while living with my parents or while they were alive. But, next year, tomorrow, hoping to end that. In my diary, the usual day's events is just a short passage, but in seperate "thoughts" section, I might have 30 pages, total. Hopefully, just a brief run-down of the day in my diary from now on.
A big apology to everyone, too, as I'm new to this site, figuring out how everything works here---and definately a strange, new, experience to reveal all this stuff, to nice people.
A happy new year's to you all!
