Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...
My medications don't seem to work, which makes me frustrated, and just Thursday I told my therapist that I am so tired...I don't want to work on trying to be normal anymore, whatever "normal" is.
Dear Lord, I am lonely even among my own family (we are a big one) and am terrified of the family reunion that is coming up in two weeks. I also have a friend who tries to support me, but she moved to Maine and I hear from her less and less.
My advice is sort of moot, because I'm in the same boat as you, but when I think about how lonely and depressed I am I try and do something nice for myself, like taking time to just sit and be with my cats (who love me unconditionally) or journal ( I scrapbook journal....it's fun.)
Good Luck, and you can vent to me ANYTIME.
love and hugs,
jennifer

Best wishes.
I, myself, keep hoping something will change and get me out of this "funk." but the only thing I can do is make changes on my own...
I think maybe you should talk to someone... a therapist, counselor, or trust family/friend.
I wish you all the best. Just know you are NOT the only one who feels this way.

I will include you in my prayers... And remember you are not alone in this...

The feeling of loneliness sucks. But there is hope. Don't give up.
I've been a loner for most of my life too and making friends was hard at first. I thought there was always something wrong with me, but the problem was that I was making the wrong type of friends. I decided that I needed friends who were going to want me for me. I eventually was able to make friends out of the blue, but because most of the time I went out of my comfort zone. I had to let go of that fear that would keep me from making friends.
It's sounds easy, but it's not. It takes courage and wits to get out of your comfort zone. Like all other things, everything is possible. It just takes the extra push and courage.
I believe you can beat this loneliness and depression.
God doesn't make you go through anything you can't handle.
Just don't give up! We can beat it together.
