Hi everybody. Have been with this group for awhile, but haven't posted anything. Well here's my problem.
Recently I met this girl online. Or at least I hope she's a girl, never can be too sure. Anyways, we had a solid friendship. Nothing sexual. Just talking. We exchanged email address and just about everyday we would message each other. Just simple stuff really. She'd ask about my day, I'd ask about hers. And we comment on each others. Most of the time we'd talk about Walking Dead. Everyday for about a month, we'd exchange at least one email. I, never wanting to seem to desperate, would wait for her email, and then I'd respond almost immediately.
Then suddenly, she wouldn't reply to me on weekends. No big thing. It's understandable. And then last week, she emailed me. I emailed her back. But never got a response. Still haven't. She's about 14 years older than me. And works as a photographer. I learned a lot about her, and a lot from her.
I would just like to know why people abruptly decide to hate me. Why they all of a sudden decide, "I'm no longer talking to you" Don't I at least deserve that knowledge? Only thing I can think of with her, is I asked twice if there were others way to chat. I didn't say over the phone or on cam or anything. Usually I just asked if I could invite her on Pogo.com. She mentioned she would play games there. But I never got anything. But this happens with everybody I meet. Whether online or in person. It will start off great the first day, but by the 2nd day it's like I'm nothing. I hate this feeling. And with her it's like I lost my best friend. Heck she was my best friend. And she's the only woman I have ever felt extremely comfortable with. All women seem to turn the other cheek with me. What should I do?

I don't go into chat because years ago I did and found people wanted to spend hours chatting, like 5 hours and I didn't. That was way too long for me. So I stopped chatting because it was too much. Plus some go into chat to talk with their friend and not with anyone else.
the lesson you have learned is that when you are e-mailing one person, do not give up continuing posting on boards online. You don't give up what you are doing for that one person--they don't give up the rest of their life for you.
A whole lot of people are into games. The second they sense that someone likes them, wants to meet them - they've gotten what they wanted.
Dating services are great for males. I think there's a very small risk of danger for men. It's possible that crime takes place sometimes, and men are embarrassed and don't report it.
You said that you would wait for her e-mail and respond almost immediately - you would think that wouldn't make any difference, but
the times are one the e-mails, and females get kind of nervous, if a male seems too eager to hear from them, especailly if it's someone they just met or don't know at all (someone online).

Kurom- I understand that. And I almost always come back to the person I'm talking with saying 'I understand'. I'd like to believe it's not me, but why does it happen with everyone I talk to?
AsTimeGoesBy- I understand her work. But it seemed like even when she was busy, she would still find a moment to send me an email. Plus I see her online at least once a day. I don't really like chatting for long periods of time either. But with her, I could talk forever. I'm trying not to give up. But with her, I felt like I had a true friend. I don't know if I'll ever find that again.
Pinterest- You're right. She could be who she says she is, she could be a girl or girls, or a guy. Just playing a game with me. But what makes that person stop playing? Just boredom? And if they're playing a game, wouldn't they at least say I'm done? I don't know. I understand what you mean about the timing of the emails, but I guess I always figured if I emailed her back as quick as I could, I'd have a better chance of talking more with her. That was only the case one time. I am on dating services too. 2 of them in fact, but only on one where I can chat with buying a subscription. It's a lot harder for men to meet someone because all women just assume we are there for sex. Like there's nothing more we could ever want. So let me just say, ladies, you are very frustrating sometimes lol
