From what I've observed, we are only good for for the things we have. Other than that, ppl think we are of no use. Sounds harsh but good friends are far and few. They are the ones who stick by you when you have close to nothing.
I can't even find many friends on here anymore. at one time I had over 60 friends and heard from 30 or more a few times a week. now I have 20 and if im lucky I hear from 6...not exactly the greatest percentage.
I do cherish the few that I do talk to
it is not easy to move someone from acquaintance to friend....
also for me here...I really do have loads of people on my friend list but it takes a lot to get in there and hug everyone and some are gone now but still on my list....I wish I could do it more often and give hugs or high fives to all but it takes a lot of time to go thru and make those connections....I do it two or three times a year...start at A and go as far as I can before I am worn to frazzle....
hugs to all
And I don't blame them. I figure I need to work on how to be a friend before
I can have any friends. I know there are people out there who have been a
good friend to others only to get treated poorly and this is very sad. I think
Friendship is a very precious thing and has to be cared for gently.
Thanks again and I am here for you all should you need me.
I think maybe work groups and lil' groups of ppl who have a shared task or official task ,. . . . are growing in significance.
--In emotional significance.
And the old-fashioned pattern of friends-from-school, friends-one-used-to-work-with ... is becoming less significant. Think logistics.
