Loneliness Support Group
Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. The lonely person may find it difficult or even impossible to have any...

You ever hear that song "#1 is the loneliest number" Well I feel it pretty badly sometimes. I am living with my friend and her husband (and their 12 year old daughter (she'll be 12 in March)
Tonight my friend went to a community committee meeting, she is the chair of our PR committee. I'm not on that committee I'm on the grounds.
Anyway she went to the meeting and I was watching some TV. just before my friend came back from her meeting he goes out with the kid. My friend comes home and we're talking about how her meeting went and in comes her husband and daughter, the kid has something behind her back and they surprise her with a bouquet of flowers. It's not even Valentine's Day yet (he occasionally will get her flowers but it's been a while)
anyway apparently she must have said something to him before the meeting about being bummed out about something and in he comes with the flower. Last week when I was at the grounds meeting I was pretty bummed too (the same member of both committees was acting rather rude and confrontational. He just lost his father about a month or two ago and he has been having friction with his family about it.
But no one has ever given me flowers when I have been having problems. and Valentine's Day has never existed for me. So like the other song "I want to know what love is."
just feeling lonely

I can identify with this feeling - my husband is wonderful, but I do know what it feels like to feel like other people care more and are more there for other people, and it does make me feel lonely! It sounds like she has a sweet family and is a great friend to you as well - don't give up hope on finding the support you need! Meanwhile we are here for you...

What's the most overrated scripted* tv show, in your opinion?*Scrpited, meaning a drama or comedy series - not reality shows, game shows, court shows, talk shows, variety shows, etc. (well, technically talk shows and variety shows often do have writers as well, but for this exercise we're just talking about shows that have both scripts and actors acting out those scripts so really the only show...
