For as long as I can remember, I have always been "on the fence" about decisions. For example, I am on the fence on whether I believe in God or evolution. I can never make up my mind without having a huge battle with myself. In January, I was "on the fence" for whether or not to quit my job. I had all the reasons why I should, but there were some big factors to why I shouldn't. Now, I am facing another decision. I am not a long distance relationship kind of girl, after seeing both of my brothers get hurt from it. But I like this guy, and he lives far away. It would be great to be in a relationship with him, he is great. I don't know how we will be able to see each other though. Also, I fear that if we do start this relationship, the whole Murphy's law thing will happen, where someone I work or go to school with will start to like me. I am superstitious. I am lost. And I cannot make up my mind. My biggest fear, however, is hurting someone in making my decision. I wouldn't be able to be happy if I hurt him, but there are also my parents. I don't know what they would think of this situation, and I would hate it if I hurt them as well. Any advice?
Why would you want to make such an important life changing decision as a long distance relationship Sorry, I don't get it.
I knew one woman who had a long distance relationship and it didn't turn out well. I personally would never ever consider hooking up with someone I barely knew and who lives hundreds or thousands of miles away. It sounds insane Aren't there guys in your community? Also, on-line guys can sound great but they can say anything and create a false persona. When I read an on-line profile I just figure 50% of the profiles are questionable to say the least.
...But now i've been married for nearly 2 years with someone i have never lived with. And we are very happily in love. :)
Yes, he's military. Which makes it different maybe. But not really, considering the divorce rate is something like 80%.
