I am sick of feeling like I am the only person who is getting screwed with the Afordable Care Act. I know that I can't be.
Let me tell you about the most stalinistic thing I ever had to do. It was this tax season. I got a letter from the IRS. I took it to H&R Block, who always do my taxes because I am terrified of being audited after watching my parents be audited twice as a child.
A few days later, H&R block called and said I had a few things to sign before they sent it in. ok. The H&R block lady explained to me what they needed to send and why. The letter I got stated that the IRS needed 2 forms sent in. These forms were sent in with my origional tax filing but they needed more information according to th letter. So what were the two forms?
"This form states how much you got in tax reliefe to help you pay for your health care." Well, I didn't get any. "Yep, it is totaled at 0" ok, what is the other form. "This form says how much you got back in taxes to reimburse you for your health care costs." Did I get any? "No, it is also totaled 0." so, I don't understand. "Well, they want this piece of paper sent in with it" ok, what's that piece of paper? "This one is the healthcare choice form" What's that mean? "Well, you sing it here to say that this is the health care ption that you chose." What? This is not something I chose. I was forced to pick from a bunch of options I want that do nothing for me but waste my money. "I know, hun, but here are your options. Either you sing it and send it in with these taxforms saying you wanted the health insurance you have, or the IRS keeps bothering you and possibly does a full audit of your taxes." What the hell does my taxes have to do with how much I spent in haelth insurance? "Well, health insurance is considered a tax now, and it is run by the IRS" I know that, but that is absolutely rediculous! "Well, see, they want to be able to show data that the people on the Affordable Care Act who have these extremely high health insuance plans have them out of choice." But there is no choice here - I am forced to take one and every one offered to me is absolutely rediculous! "I know, dear. But it is your choice. You can either sign it or not." I really don't want the IRS after me more.... I guess I will sign it.
That is the government threatening me to get the outcome they want. This is the Sh*t done in Stalin run Russia.
I am so sick of hearing all of these people get all bent out of shape when talk of repealing and replacing this horrid "Act" talked about. I know that I cannot be the only person out there that is completely run down by this thing.
I am going to make less this year than I have since earning my Masters degree 7 years ago, but I still can't get a break on how much I pay for insurance because the Tax is not based on how much you actually make - it is based on how much the government says you are capable of making, so since I have made a certain about in the past, even though it will be over $10,000 less this year, I get no break in this Tax because I am capable of making more.
Where does the fair-ness come into play?!?
You want equality? switch to a 10% rule. If everyone pays 10% in taxes, it would be even and fair. It is not fair that my health inurance, which I despirately need to be helpful to me is considered a tax and keeps me from seeking out the health care I need. And I am sick of feeling like I am the only person being screwed because I know there are more people out there being screwed to pay for what other people recieve. Nothing is ever free. Someone is paying for it. I am sick of the government stealing from me to pay for what someone else is recieving. It would be different if I were paying for my own care, but I am not. I pay money every month as a tax so someone else can get health insurace and health care when I get nothing!

This is how STUPID and out of touch our government is! First the problem DOES NOT lye with the insurance companies! The main problem is entirely wrapped up in healthcare. You go to a Dr. and you pay a fee. That Dr. has NO benefit in curing you. You are a customer now and they will also push all kinds of meds onto to you and then more meds for the side effects that those meds caused. Not to mention that the fees are absolutely rediculouse for anything medical now a days and do not start me on medication.
I saw a neurologist a month ago. The visit was 20 minutes and he said he had no idea what my problem was and doubled the medication I am on for what they call RLS. That cost ME $350.00. He also scheduled blood work that cost ME $880. See I have the High deductible insurance through my employer and I have a $3500. deductible before insurance pays anything. To make matters worse this Dr. had no intent of helping at all. He literally told me he had no idea and sent me to have blood work and it came back normal and I have not heard a damn word from them.
Last year I had a stress test for chest pain and that cost me 5K. Here is the good part. The cat scan from my stress test showed that half of my heart was not working. So I missed 5 days of work and had to go in for a heart Cathorization. The heart Cath was 22K and when the Dr. talk to me after he said it must have been a faulty cat scan as there was nothing wrong with my heart. So I paid 7K between both of those bills and the insurance got stuck with the rest. That was a 27K fuck up by the hospital and who gets stuck with the bills?

This country was founded on equal treatment for ALL. Somewhere along the years the people in government became ABOVE the ALL. The working class has always been the backbone of America. Not only do they have the jobs that built this country and everything in it. They also pay the taxes that keep the handouts coming out of Washington. I forgot to add they make the lowest wages for work done too. With those low wages comes this PUKE Obama care that was voted in without even reading! So if a working man/woman is barely making a living and supporting their family and can NOT afford health insurance the government now takes a large penalty from their tax return. " Last I checked was around $2000. dollars of money they don't have to begin with. There are a lot of family's in the Midwest that work very hard and pray for their tax return to just get buy with things like buying a more reliable car to get to work, or pay off medical bills, or even enjoy something in life for once instead working every dam day and 60+ hours a week just to have the bare things to survive. This is how far our government is out of touch!
