I moved to a small rural town last year. The senior van rode by as I was going to my mailbox, yesterday. The driver completely turned his head and stared and glared - it's like something out of a movie. . Reminds me of the Bob Seger song lyric from "Turn the Page" about the unfriendly people he would encounter on the road, in restaurants.
I recently stopped at a very small P. O. - it was so cute - and decided I should take photos and mail to an older relative without a p.c.
I definately "forgot", thanks to be being down so much, that I felt better away from my hometown, way back at age 17, when I ran away; 37 years of giving up on escaping to somewhere else.
I did at least plug in my phone months ago; wasn't any reason, for years, to have the phone plugged in, except on the rare occassions I had to use it. And now, it's only one person that calls.
In my late 30s I got stuck riding the local senior minibus; seniors rode free, others paid like a regular bus---with the seniors getting mad that other people were using "their" minibus.
When the car stops at lights, she is intent on looking out the window into other cars. I think she is wondering where all the other cats in cars are. I tell her they take limos with dark windows so we can't see them.
it is definately rare to see a cat in a car.
a few year ago there were articles about a car who rode with its owner on a motorcycle; that cat is gone; can't imagine the motorcyclist finding another cat like that.
