What was that?..I thought I heard a sound
I looked everywhere until I realized that there was no one around
The four walls of this room seem to close in on me more everyday
I feel as if I am in a box suffocating and out of it I cant find my way
The only embrace I feel is the warmth from an old sweater
I pray everyday God heal my wounds and just make it all better
Silence is always with me...we have now become good friends
It never leaves my side..its enduring to the very end
My other friend is depression...we get along really well
It knows all my deepest secrets but I trust it will never tell
What's that sound again? Oh thats just my weakening heart
Over the years it became fragile, broken. and now its falling apart
My friends are truly loyal...they've listened everytime that I cry
I finally found someone who will be with me...until the day that I die

I like the poem. I also have found a friend in depression but now I give it all over to God! I am trying to trust everything to Him. I sing hymns when I'm lonely now. Would like to be my friend and maybe we can help each othe through the bad spots!

I pray and read my bible everyday. It helps me to remember that Jehovah God (ps 83:18 shows Gods name) loves me even if others dont. I would give my best to encourage you if you need.

That was very good. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for posting it. I have a friend who also writes poems like that, here on DS. Mostly about the war, but some about people he knows. I call them thinking poems. They tell a story, and make you think. Sometimes pondering them is hard for me, as I tend to stay in the here and now, the past too painful and the future too scary. No long philosophical discussions here. LOL Thanks again.
