Seven days ago I had a scare with suicide, and three of my friends and my sister came to my rescue. Five days ago they put me in a Psych ward, and two days ago they let me out, conditional that I freeze my place at University and go home to seek intensive care. It was the most surreal week of my life but now I'm home, and I'm thinking back on the whole thing.
I'm really touched that my friends came to my rescue but I'm sad I'm leaving my place at college on bad terms. My disorders have gotten in the way of my life again, and I scared my friends and family. Everyone tells me it isn't my fault, but I can't help but think I did this to myself because I was unable to keep myself under control and I was too blinded to see what I had.
I think I've lost a friend because of it. She was my best friend and she helped me out the most seven days ago, but at the end she asked a policeman to check up on me and she left the team from where I first met her. Now, she won't respond to my messages. The people at the psych ward told me that she wasn't a true friend, but that's not the case. I think I pushed her too far, and that's one of my biggest regrets. I hope I get to see her again and I get to be her friend again. She was one of the best I had.
The thing that really struck me over the week was how much of an impact I had on people. You all likely have that impact on people as well. If you all could do something... Ask your friends for a movie night or something. Really pester them about it or offer to buy popcorn or something. Just get the chance to talk to them. Even if they're not really close, it helps. Because I wish I did that.
