Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and isolation. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Loneliness is a feeling of being cut off, disconnected and alienated from other people. I'm trying to decide whether or not to take my best friend back, it's the reason I've been procrastinating on writing out this agreement that we made the other week. She just called me up one day after 4 months of not saying a word to me and wants to be friends again. I did ask her what her motivation for wanting to do that was, and all she could say was "I was bored." She didn't say she missed me, she sorta apologized ish which is different for her because she doesn't admit that she was wrong often, but I can't help but feel like she's still the same person, like if I called her right now and told her I didn't think we could be friends this time around that she wouldn't even care. And the thing is, the reason why i'm so torn by this is because she's, like, my only friend who I had been able to talk to and confide to and trust up until recently and I really want us to get back to that sort of relationship we had but it kinda sorta doesn't feel possible at this point. What do you think I should do?
There is more I could say but I don't want to drone on about this topic. It is really bugging me and I need advice on what I should do. I did post about how she totally cut me off a few months ago, here is the link if you want to take a look at it and decide whether or not she really deserves another chance.

I can tell you from recent personal experience that relying on just one friend as your social link and/or person to confide in can be problematic. I wouldn't keep a grudge about such a thing if you were really close friends for so long. Just make sure you don't let yourself be used. If you have anyone else to keep you active socially, don't be afraid to contact them. Sometimes you can feel like the world just doesn't want you, but in reality there are probably alot of people that would want you in their lives.

I would say go with your gut and don't take her back. I also base this on personal experience. If someone is so cold to cut you out of their life with no explanation then they are cold enough to do it again. If she offered a sincere apology with an honest explanation things might be different, but she seems so indifferent. I wouldn't put all of my trust in this person.

I think I finally know what i'm going to do about this problem. It will probably take me a little bit of time to do it, but i'm feeling more confident and less questionable about it. Thank you for your help :)
